Job Summary:

 We currently have an exciting new role as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, the successful candidate will work closely with the Quantity Surveyor and other staff as required to provide a comprehensive support role. They will be responsible for managing the day to day Quantity Surveying requirements allocated to them and to ensure they are carried out diligently and accurately.  A professional and confidential manner will be required at all times.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the management of day-to-day commercial and contract activities
  • Pricing works using a Schedule of Rates (NEC3 Option B BoQ)
  • Pricing works using activity schedules (NEC3 Option A)
  • Supporting the NEC3 Contract administration
  • Site measuring
  • Compiling Applications for Payment
  • Subcontractor Application for Payment assessment
  • Preparing compensation events
  • Assessment of compensation events from subcontractors
  • Supporting Final accounting
  • Procurement of subcontractors and services

Skills & Qualifications required:

  • A relevant Quantity Surveying qualification and/or sufficient experience
  • Ability to undertake site remeasures
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
  • A good working knowledge of the Construction Act
  • Strong excel/IT skills

Other preferred skills:

  • Knowledge of the telecommunications infrastructure industry
  • Working knowledge of CEMAR
